Abstract:
Lauric ether carboxylate (LAEC) was synthesized from lauric acid by amidation and carboxymethylation, effect of reaction time on carboxymethylation reaction. The optimum conditions were as follows: n (lauric acid monoethanolamide):n (sodium chloroacetate):n(NaOH)= 1.0:1.6:3.0, reaction temperature 65 ℃, reaction time 4 h, under these conditions, the conversion rate of amide was more than 90%, the product of & gamma;cmc = 2.529mN/m,cmc = 1.26 mmol/L, Roche Foam height was 183, has excellent surface activity.Key words:
